You were my best friend, once, although I knew you by a different name. The summer after we graduated from high school, my parents took us on a trip to Hawaii. Remember how we talked about coming back in a few years with our boyfriends?

You got married in Hawaii last year. So I heard -- I wasn't invited.

We'd grown apart, sure, separated by college, different lifestyles, different towns. But when we talked it was still like old times. Then one day you you never returned my call. Or the next one. Or the next.

And then you had your fiance call me and he told me you were getting married. To hear that from him -- how you could you be so cold?
